For 45 years, Laguna Beach artists, craftspeople and glassblowers take gathered on sawdust-covered grounds in Laguna Coulee, under the cool shade of eucalyptus trees. They sell their own handmade creations, from paintings, sculpture and photography to jewelry, ceramics and clothing.
Ane-of-a-kind artists include Bette McIntire, who creates "underground" poem collages out of newspapers; Gavin Heath, a glassblower originally from Capetown, Due south Africa; Marsh Scott, who creates encaustic wax paintings that reflect nature's patterns; and Doug Miller, who photographs and paints local scenes at a bewildering step. He'south nearing xiii,000 paintings completed in his career.
Other artists worth mentioning are John Barber, James Koch, Michael Panetta, Siân and Troy Poeschl and Michele Taylor.

Hands-on art workshops are held daily for kids and adults, and studio art classes with professionals allow visitors to create their own masterpieces.
The Sawdust Fine art Festival runs every summer from the end of June through the end of August. In case you tin can't wait until summer, there's the vacation-themed Winter Fantasy at the same location on weekends in November and early Dec.
